Sons of Anarchy Recruits Chopper Musician

Rusty Coones in Sons of Anarchy

Chopper friend and Attika7 founder Rusty Coones has been added to the cast of Sons of Anarchy season 5! And be sure to rock out to some of the band's Chopper soundtrack tunes live as they perform at the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival this Fall!

As bad-ass as the boys of Sons of Anarchy are on TV, we imagine real life is a little different once the cameras stop rolling. Sure the actors have all become heavily involved in the motorcycle culture over the years, but it’s not the same as having an actual Hells Angel on your side! Sons of Anarchy season 5 will rev up on September 11 with a dose of authenticity by employing real members of the legendary Hells Angels club.

TVLine is reporting that the popular show has added some street cred to its SAMCRO ranks, casting real-life Hells Angel Rusty Coones in the role of biker Nomad president Quinn, a character talked about since the first season. According to Sons of Anarchy series creator Kurt Sutter, we’ll first meet the character in the season’s ninth episode.

The 6-foot-5, 285-lb. musician is the founder of the Orange County chapter of Hells Angels, and has served as president of the motorcycle club’s San Fernando Valley chapter as well. His heavy metal band, Attika7, has contributed a few songs to the Sons of Anarchy soundtrack over the years, and his motorcycle shop Illusion Motorsports has custom-built a few motorcycles for the Sons of Anarchy creator as well.
